We celebrated Vinayagar Chathurthi at home today. Made offerings to Lord Ganesha and prayed. 
I took bath in the morning. Made a small Ganesha Flower Kolam in front of my house. Today is the first day of Onam also. Atham Day – starting of putting pookkalams. So my flower kolam served both. 
Me and mom went for shopping. Bought Mud Ganesha (we wanted eco-friendly Ganesha). I painted some parts of the idol with golden paint to make my little Ganesha more beautiful. Decorated the Lord with flowers. Mom made a variety of dishes as offering to Lord Ganesha. She made Modak, Ammini Kozhukkattai, Chana Sundal, Boondhi Laddu, Puran Boli, Semiya Payasam and Curd Rice.
