Merit Award for my Peacock Painting at the 3rd Peacock – The National Bird Painting Competition and Exhibition. This painting will be exhibited at India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi from
November 1 – November 30.
This painting is a bit different from what I normally do. Used poster colours for the first time a competition. This is done as a collage.
The middle portion of the peacock is done by sticking small pieces of coloured paper. Used the tempera gold colour for the peacock feathers and also for giving the shining effect of its neck. The blue-green part of the neck is done using oil pastels. The golden colour is applied on top of it. The feathers blue portions are done using finger prints. Altogether I liked this work.
