The HINDU Young World Painting Competition 2016 Chennai Finals were held in S.B.O.A School & Junior College, Anna Nagar West, Chennai on March 26, 2016. 255 participants from the Junior Category (Classes 4 to 6) and 240 students from senior category (Classes 7 to 9) participated in the Chennai finals of the HINDU Young World Painting Competition 2016.
I won consolation award in the Junior category. Awarded with a medal and certificate from the HINDU. The topics for the finals were given on the spot.

This is my comments after the prize announcements which came in The Hindu – In School Section…
“I chose the topic ‘Annual day at school.’ I painted a Bharatanatyam dancer on stage, as it is an art form I love. Though I’d participated in The Hindu Young World painting competition earlier, I didn’t win anything. I am happy this time I got a prize and want to do better in the coming years.
