Remembering Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam

Remembering this Great Man, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on his first Death Anniversary. A wonderful person, the real Pride of India, the Missile Man of India, the Ex-President of India. I was very lucky to have met him in February 2015 at his official residence 10 Rajaji Marg, New Delhi with my parents, Propel Steps Founder Director Dinesh Anna, Pankaj Anna and Mukul Ranjan Anna. We were there to present him with Propel Steps New Publication “Black Space” and also to present Him with a copy of the painting done by me for their new book for children “Voice of Little Hearts”. We waited for our turn in the waiting area and by the time we could meet him, it was almost 10.30 in the night. I was the one entered the room with a bouquet and to my surprise, he got up from his seat behind the table and wished me. He came near us and enquired about the purpose of our visit, accepted my painting, autographed the original and asked his assistant to take photo for us. I was dumbfounded with his courteous gestures and I feel very fortunate to get his blessings on that night. I was really shocked and sad hearing about his death five months later and couldn’t believe the news.
