This is a new poem I have written for Children’s Day Contests at my school. (The Schram Academy, Chennai). Poem dedicated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
Professor,Scientist,Dr.Abdul Kalam,
The Missile Man of India,
The one who made Aerospace popular,
The one who made Indians proud.
You made youngsters dream,
Your words and ideas were inspiration,
You made the nation celebrate,
When you fired Her rockets..
When you left, India shed tears,
Just like a gem falling out of her crown,
You went straight to peaceful heaven,
Leaving behind Wings of Fire..
May you be in peace forever,
We shall fulfill your dreams, we promise,
People’s President of India,
Dear Kalamji, we truly Salam you!!
I’m really blessed to have shook hands with you,
And had a word with you!!
