Tamil Speech on Diwali

My Third Language at School is Tamil. And I was asked to speak a few lines about my favourite festival. Since Tamil is not my mother tongue, I found it a bit tough to frame good sentences. Finally with the help of my friend Giridarshini’s mother Komala Aunty, I made this very short speech in Tamil for 3rd language Tamil Speaking Skills. Hope this helps someone else who read this too.

வணக்கம் … இன்று நான் திவாலி திருவிழா பற்றி பேசப் போகிறேன்.

தீப ஒளி என்ற பொருள் படும் தீபாவளி திருநாள், இந்தியாவின் முதன்மைக் கொண்டாட்டங்களில் ஒன்று.

தீபாவளிக்கு பல கதைகள், சரித்திரங்கள் உள்ளன.

நரகாசுரசனை கிருஷ்ணர் வதம் புரிந்த நாளே தீபாவளியாக தென்னிந்தியாவில் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

தீபாவளி தினத்தில், மக்கள் புதிய ஆடைகள் அணிவார்கள். அனைவருக்கும் இனிப்புகள் வழங்கப்படும்.

தீபாவளி எனக்கு பிடித்த ஒரு பண்டிகை.
