YĀLI VĀHANAM
After Sri Varadharāja Perumal dresses up as Nachiyar (Nachiyar Thirukolam) on the morning of the 5th day, He mounts the Yāli Vahanam in the evening! The Yāli Vahanam is a unique mix of a lion’s head and body with the trunk and tusks of an elephant, a very common element of South Indian temple architecture.
