✨Bāla Krishna✨: BĀLA SERIES-7✨
Happy Janmashtami! Birthday wishes to our favourite Makhan chor!
The next painting in my Bāla Series is Bāla Krishna, who had the most eventful childhood ever. From the moment of His birth on Ashtami thithi (which we celebrate today as Janmashtami or Krishna Jayanthi), He engages in innumerable leelas as a toddler and child itself. One of the recurring mischiefs of this little prankster is stealing butter from various houses of the gopis of Vrindavan.
In this painting, seeing that His friends have fled when the gopis arrived to catch them stealing butter, young little Krishna holds on to His pot (placed high above the ground hanging from the ceiling by the gopis so He cannot reach it) and continues feasting while the gopi in question looks on helplessly in wonder at this kid and His impossible antics. Inspired by a similar scene from the Mahabharat serial by BR Chopra, I have recreated the scene in my own style!♥️
Done using acrylic paint on A5 watercolor sheet ❤️
