Navaratri Painting Series 2024- Day 8 ❤️

Chandika Devi, a powerful form of Mahadevi, similar to Durga. She is the name by which the Goddess is referred to in the Devi Mahatmyam. She is depicted as having 18 hands, holding various weapons to destroy evil. Chandika or Chandi is the Devi who slayed the asura Chanda. The city of Chandigarh is named after Her, literally meaning “the fort of Chandi”.

On this auspicious eighth day of Navaratri 2024, let us worship the majestic form of Bala Chandika Devi, and pray to Her to destroy all the evilness and negativity that torment our lives, and bestow Her divine blessings upon us.🙏🏻
