“Ode to Lord Thrivikrama, whose two strides spanned the cosmos! If we observe the Pavai Nombu and bathe as prescribed, bountiful rains will grace our fertile lands. The monsoon will not fail and bless us thrice with rains. The paddy fields will flourish, water bodies will teem with life, and fish will rejoice. Bees will feast on the nectar of Kuvala blossoms and then falling into contented slumber. Cows, healthy and bountiful, will yield milk in copious amounts. Abundant prosperity shall be our reward. Come, let us embrace this blessing.”
