A detailed portrayal of the divine form of Ardhanārishwara, the ultimate union of Shiva and Shakti.
This painting is based on the Ardhanārishwara Stotram by Sri Adi Shankaracharya Swami and focuses on incorporating the essence of the stotram into art form. The description of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati mentioned in the stotram has been attempted, from the ash-skinned Shiva to champakam flower-skinned Shakti, snake anklets of Shiva to the gold anklets of Shakti, and so on.
I thank @raju_gajavelly_ for commissioning this artwork, I’ve always wanted to make an Ardhanarishwara painting, and I enjoyed doing this detailed one for him a few weeks back!♥️
